Brain Man VR at AWE Europe 2022

If you type “AWE” into a search engine in the UK the top hit is the Atomic Weapons Establishment; an organisation that makes warheads for the UK nuclear bomb industry. For the avoidance of doubt, Brain Man VR has no links with this organisation whatsoever. The AWE that Brain Man VR will be attending is the European leg of the Augmented World Expo in Lisbon, Portugal 20-21 October 2022 (AWE EU 22) at which all the latest developments in virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality are presented to the assembled masses.

We have been invited to chair some of the the seminars taking place in the developer stream and are very much looking forward to seeing what’s cooking in the exciting innovate world of the budding metaverse.

Another seminar series that we’re excited to attend at this year’s AWE EU is the healthcare track. Healthcare is one of the few industries that have been at the forefront of VR/AR innovations for more than two decades. Whether it is accelerating surgical training for rare but tricky operations, improving healthcare practitioner’s bedside manner with soft skill training, or even bringing anatomical lessons to life in 3D; medicine was one of the first disciplines to realise the huge potential for VR/AR to improve patient care and medic training.

And if recent breakthroughs in use of augmented reality during live operations are anything to go by - helping surgeons see the margins of a tumour more clearly leading to better surgical outcomes - we can be sure to encounter some sparkling innovations.

If you are planning to attend AWE EU 22 and would like to find out more about Brain Man VR, please do drop us a line so we can arrange a meet up.
