  • Jumpstart into Virtual Reality

It all starts with an in person visit to drop off a VR headset for each of your team. It’s theirs to keep.

We train up your whole team in a two hour session so that you can feel confident in using your VR equipment properly. And we’ll help you to get in the habit of using it regularly to ensure you build up your VR skills quickly.

All the software you need is pre-loaded onto the headsets for your convenience.

We also show you how to “side-load” updates to the basic Brain Man VR package using free software called Side Quest. Side Quest is a vital accessory for your VR experience as it is very easy to use and helps you access footage from your VR sessions effortlessly.

Having the ability to review and digest the main points that people raise in VR brainstorming sessions is incredibly valuable. It is a powerful way of capturing information from your discussions, good ideas are NEVER lost.

The Brain Man VR Jumpstart experience involves learning to move around, interact with each other, solve puzzles, transport you into a range of environments at the touch of a button and generally showcasing all the amazing tools that are available when doing team work in virtual reality.

Best of all, from the moment your in-person training session is finished, you will feel more confident in using VR and ready to start stepping out on solo missions into the metaverse.

    But it doesn’t end there.

The following week we meet up again for an hour, but in VR. This means that it doesn’t matter whether you are working from the office, or home, or even if you’re on the road. It doesn’t matter how many miles you are apart. If you have your VR headset with you we can meet up in a way that creates a compelling illusion that we are actually together in the same room. It’s powerful stuff.

In Week 3, we meet for a third time in VR in as many weeks. Just for 20-30mins this time. All each team member has to do is click the Brain Man VR app at the same time on the same day and wherever in the world you happen to be you will find yourself in your own private world in VR, immersed in the same space as your colleagues. By this point you’ll all feel very accustomed to the basics of VR and have built up enough momentum to continue the habit thereafter…

That said, we’re always here for you if should you need any new versions of the application. Perhaps you want your meetings to feel like you’re on the Arctic tundra, or in a clearing in the middle of the Amazon? You want your favourite music to come on at the touch of a VR button. Maybe a team member has suggested a game that you’d all like to play. Anyone for frisbee?

Now that you are part of the Brain Man VR family what you are able to do in virtual reality is only limited by the extent of your imagination. VR is infinitely tailorable. What do YOU want it to be?

  • Weekly Meetings in VR

We are always there to facilitate your first team experience of our VR spaces, to make sure everything runs smoothly, to be on hand to explain how to arrange your VR space safely.

It all starts with a short introductory talk showcasing various features that enable you to collaborate more closely in VR than is possible via videoconferencing.

Next up, one of your own team members has a go at presenting to the rest of the team and we’ll be on hand to provide assistance as and when required.

By this point you’ll already be seeing the benefits of meeting in VR. And having ideas about how you could tweak the space to suit your needs even better.

For example, many people are so addicted to their smartphones that they find it virtually impossible to stop fiddling with them. In VR, that’s not an option, so you can be sure to have everyone’s full attention!

This is no small thing. To have the full attention of every person in a room with you is extremely rare in today’s tech-saturated world.

That VR prevents people from checking their phones and laptops every 60 seconds is highly beneficial to both the flow of ideas in the BMVR space AND the depth of connection teams feel with each other when fully engaged with our the team building activities.

Teams working remotely are prone to feelings of social isolation compared to those who work in the office physically alongside others. Working in VR creates a wholly convincing illusion that you are alongside others, despite everyone’s cartoon-style appearance, helping people feel more connected and therefore less prone to feelings of loneliness.

BMVR is not just a productivity tool, it is designed to make teams more mentally resilient by providing opportunities for social bonding. Feeling better connected to others is good for physical health (non-lonely people live longer) as well as mental health (non-lonely people suffer less with depression and anxiety).

Brain Man VR is suffused with the latest neuroscientific, psychological and psychiatric thinking. Innocent-looking at first glance, but jam-packed with science.
